Ulumuna (P-ISSN: 1411-3457, 2355-7648, E-ISSN: 2775-2453), a journal of Islamic studies published twice a year by State Islamic University (UIN) Mataram since 1997, is concerned with publishing original (library or field) research articles in the field of Islamic studies. All submitted papers are subject to double-blind review process. Ulumuna received its reaccredited by the Director General of Strengthening Research and Development, Ministry of Research Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia in 2023. Through Director Decree No. 79/E/KPT/2023, this accreditation is effective until 2027. In July 20, 2022, Ulumuna was indexed by Scopus. Ulumuna has become a CrossRef Member since year 2015. Therefore, all articles published by Ulumuna will have unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) number.

Ulumuna aims to promote scientific publication on Islam and Muslim culture in its broadest sense covering textual, historical and empirical aspects, both classical/medieval, modern and contemporary periods in the Islamic World and beyond. This journal encompasses original research articles based on library and/or empirical research in the field of Islamic studies especially on, but not limited to, eight main topics: (1) the Qur’an and hadith (2) Islamic Law (3) Islamic Theology (Kalam) (4) Islamic Philosophy (5) Islamic Mysticism (Tasawwuf) (6) Islamic Education (7) Islamic Communication and Propogation (Dakwa) and (8) Islamic Politics. It encourages articles that employ a multi-disciplinary approach to those topics. Scholars from any countries and region that are concerned with Islam and its manifestation throughout Muslim history and geography in the Islamic World and beyond can submit their article to Ulumuna and use this open access journal.
