内容紹介

The upper limb plays an important role in the manipulation and grasping of daily life objects. Since the upper limb motions and human dexterity have a strong relationship, the motion estimation and analysis are necessary tasks. In my research, "skin deformation" is used for the input source of the estimation and analysis. The skin deformation provides the activities of various body tissues such as muscles, tendons, and bones. In this presentation, I will introduce the estimation methods of the upper limb motions based on the skin deformation. The characteristics and usefulness of the skin deformation are shown with some results of experiments. Besides, I will also introduce the potential of the skin deformation for motion analysis with an example of the rehabilitation application
