授業アーカイブSocial computing refers to the design and use of information and communication technologies that consider the social context of human interactions. In my talk, I will introduce the SOLSTICE two-dimensional framework for the design of social computing studies and Human-Computer Interactions (HCI).The first dimension represents the continuum between self and others, which are two sides of the same coin: social interaction.I will explain why it makes sense to consider both self and other in a single design framework for social computing. The second dimension of the the SOLSTICE framework is time and enables to describe short term phenomena (eg joint attention) and long term phenomena (eg personality traits).I will describe illustrative examples from Psychology and Human-Computer Interaction covering the four quadrants of the SOLSTICE framework. These examples will include personalised coaching for eHealth and social skills training.
