内容紹介

In the post-petrochemical era, carbon dioxide as the ultimate carbon source needs to be efficiently reduced to molecules containing carbon with oxidation states lower than +4. Dihydrogen will be the reductant and carbon-free energy carrier of the future. From the fundamental standpoint of studying reactivity of electropositive metal hydrides as reductants, synthesis and reactivity of molecular hydrides of alkaline earth metals (Mg,1 Ca2) and zinc will be presented. Artificial metalloenzymes, obtained by incorporating non-natural organo¬metallic catalysts in a protein scaffold, could transcend natural enzyme’s ability to catalyze biological reactions. Biohybrid catalysts such as “metathe-ases”would perform olefin metathesis in biological settings, using water as solvent for the transformation of polar substrates, and eventually being subject to optimization by evolution. Modified Grubbs-Hoveyda (GH) type catalyst have been covalently incorporated within robust beta-barrel protein nitrobindin, with a cavity exposed to the surface and shown to be active in various types of olefin metathesis reactions.3
