内容紹介

When a microelectrodes is inserted into the cerebral cortex, extracellular potentials reflecting neuronal firing and local field potentials (LFPs) can be recorded. How to record them, how to analyze them, and what results can be obtained will be discussed based on my own research. In particular, I will show how multidimensional information can be obtained from a single electrical signal. The importance of neurophysiology using monkeys will also be introduced.
