Contents Intro.

Recently energy-sensitive photon counting x-ray detectors (PCDs) have been developed which can be operational under intense x-ray flux used in clinical CT. PCD-based CT is one of the hottest topics in the x-ray CT community and expected to not only improve the current CT images but also enable novel applications such as molecular CT. During today’s talk, we will review the status of PCDs and the algorithms we have been developing for PCD-CT.
