The large development of nanotechnologies s6ll needs the emergence of reliable chemical and/ or physical self-‐assembling techniques of nano-‐objects. Among them, the bo@om-‐up approach seems to be appropriate to build up nanostructures and assemble them from molecules or macromolecules. The main approach to produce and control such a mesoscopic organiza6on is to generate mesomorphic phases of different symmetry. Several examples of these materials including dendrimers, hybrid compounds based on func6onalized metallic nanopar6cles, andliquid-‐crystalline networks will be considered.
